Where are my files uploaded when I process them?
Nowhere. Unlike other online tools, PrivaPDF uses WebAssembly (WASM) technology that allows all processing to occur within your own browser. Your documents never leave your computer or are transmitted over the internet during the editing or merging process.
Is PrivaPDF GDPR compliant?
Absolutely. Since there is no file transfer to external servers for processing, you eliminate the risk of security breaches and natively comply with the strictest data protection regulations.
What data do you keep about my account?
Only what is strictly necessary: your email and encrypted password to manage access through the secure AWS Cognito infrastructure. We never have access to the files you process.

Do I have to install any software on my computer?
No. PrivaPDF works directly in your usual browser, but with the power of local software. You don't need administrator permissions to install anything on your clinic or office computer.
What happens if I lose my internet connection while working?
Once the application is loaded, the PDF processing engines are already in your browser. You could even disconnect the network cable and continue merging or editing files, since the work does not depend on an external server.
Is there a limit on file size or quantity?
The only limit is the power of your own computer. By not using shared servers, we will not put you in "waiting queues" or impose artificial megabyte restrictions since it is a local process.
